Imagine if the referees weren't complete idiots, how many red cards would Ramos get.
Football / Soccer / Calcio / Futebol / Fußball
And still not enough. He was let go way to often.
The funniest thing is that he asked the ref to video review the second yellow card so the ref actually did it and changed it to a straight red
mad lad is on a mission
lmao!
SMH stat padding at the end of his career
Lmao at Muntari.. He was not evil minded he was unfortunately extremely clumpse footballer..
Unlike Philippe Mexes, Pepe and Ramos these guys have always evil intention
I’m surprised Pepe isn’t higher
Contrary to popular beliefs, Pepe doesn't get that many reds.
Pepe is evil, but also smart. And I think he's calmed down a lot since moving back to Portugal?
Yeah, he shit houses and is often tough but usually very good managing the game.
Well, if the letter of the law was applied he’d have four each season just from the derbies.
Just remember him and Diego Costa lmao
Ramos we know and love
Why does Ramos get praised for being reckless and letting his team down
Not really praised, just like a funny thing to note about him and his playing style.
He certainly is a very dirty player, but it's undeniable that even with the red cards, his presence on the field is tremendous. If you have a team that can fill in the occasional hole of a suspension by Ramos, like Real Madrid did, he shines through.
Kinda like Romero right now, except Spurs don't have the depth to cover for his suspensions.
Yea, Ramos' recklessness and aggression was part of the reason he was so good. The man went to war every single game for better or worse. His red card record is a byproduct of that. It's not a bug, it's intentional design lol.
Lots of defenders did that without being anywhere near as dirty as Ramos. You don't see guys like Puyol on these lists.
Ramos was also a straight up better defender than Puyol
Not a lot of defenders scored in 2 CL finals, won the competition 4 times and the Euros and the WC. If he could repeat his career I am sure he wouldn't change a thing about it.
He shouldn't be. Imo people consider him one of the greats because of his leadership on the pitch and his goalscoring ability. His defending is subpar compared with other defenders.
Romero will surpass him
5 reds in 5.3 seasons so far. He needs to up his game by a lot
He's averaged a red card every 18 games for us, so he's already upping his game lol
Even if he keeps that average and let's say he plays 36 games a season (which is highly unrealistic but easy to calculate with), he needs 12 more seasons. He would be 37 by then and Romero with 37 is either retired or playing in Argentina and Ramos is probably not done either.
I had someone defending Romeros boneheaded reds referencing Ramos as their litmus
And that's not counting the several blatant reds he's gotten away with.
13 more than anybody else is actually fucking horrendous. What an absolute genuine cunt
Confirmation bias - everyone else who's as ill-disciplined as him doesnt make it playing in the top 5 for 20 consecutive years
And he should have had so many more.
And he definitely deserved more
Why or? A second red card is a red
Yeah it's worded a bit bad. I just wanted to make sure it doesn't include only straight red cards but 2nd yellows as well
Oh captain my captain
Everyone who watched the Ramos-Pepe CB pair back in the day knows they could've been sent off twice as much, easily.
Still not as GOATed as Gerardo Bedoya
Sergio Ramos only needs to get 18 more red cards to break the record as the player with the most red cards in football history!!!
Colombian Gerardo Bedoya currently holds the record as the football player with the most red cards with 46 red cards!!
I’ll never forget his intentional arm breaking tackle on Salah. Villain.
and the intentional elbow on karius that concussed him and likely led to his mistakes
Que la roja quedaen casa.... Lalala lalaaaaaaaa
He is just stat padding at this point.
my king 👑
Its honestly insane that he has 13 more than the second
Honestly disgusting that. Time to grow up ffs
I think Sergio Ramos couldn't care less, he's one of the most successful footballers of all time and his way of doing things clearly has results.
Given his playstyle I’d say it’s one of the least surprising stats I’ve ever seen on here.
It's honestly insane to me that he has only 13 more than the second
What insane is that it should be a hell of a lot more than 13.
equally insane that they are all for club teams.
