Not seeing the Spurs players bring out their kids for a victory lap after a dodgy result anymore, really makes you fall out of love with football 💔

Mate mate mate mate you wouldn't believe it mate but Unai Emery's brilliant Aston Villa side went up to the media darling's backyard and utterly smoked them mate. They conceded first mate but then Big Pau Torres headed a towering header home past Big Ainge's keeper mate then Ollie Watkins grabbed the game-winner mate, oh my God mate unreal scenes to witness mate and such a dagger to the hearts of Sky Sports and every other UK-based media who hyped up these lot while the whole world knows these guys have losing in their club's DNA and their downfall was only a matter of time mate

Fuck Matt Cash.

In Defence of Ange though, I will say his football actually makes watching spurs intriguing when you compare it to the last 4-5 abysmal years.

They'll look really good when they have all their players back, Son looks a mess without Kane / Maddison.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Played well but needed a little luck. I enjoyed the game at least.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Villa are on those Cracked PED Asthma type shit liverpool we're on.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

People act like all chances have been offside which is ridiculous, if Spurs finished half the good onsite chances it's a win. They saw the game out cleverly, it's not always the better team that wins, but that doesn't mean it was smash and grab.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I know it's hypothetical, but I reckon Spurs win that if Bentancur didn't need to go off.

Luiz was class and Villa just cut through the mid on the counter as soon as he went off.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Yeah we really regress whenever Hojbjerg has to play as our 6, he's not a bad player but he's like the antithesis of an Angeball player lol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

3Ls on the bounce with city next I would not want to be Ange right now, mate.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Son with a hat trick of offside goals

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Ange learning that you can't stick to one plan the entire season

This ain't the SPL

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

We looked good though? Just a difference in finishing and actually having a single CB on the pitch

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

If you actually watched the match you would know this loss was not down to Ange's tactics. His plan had Spurs dominating for the majority of the match. The Spurs attackers did not finish their chances. This loss was down to execution by the players. Villa's goals were from a set piece header and a normal possession-based attack, not by getting in behind a high defensive line.

Our injury/suspended list would finish 3rd in the PL.

Of just the starting XI we’re missing Romero, Vandeven, Bissouma, Sarr, Bentancur, Maddison, and Richarlison.

But it’s also hurting our depth. Sessegnon, Peresic, Solomon all out as well.

Despite all that, we were incredibly unlucky. Hit the post, missed at least two, maybe three, fantastic chances.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Hahahahahhahaha. No.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Richarlison lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Why are Spurs fans acting like they're the only ones with injured and suspended players? Last season Chelsea had like 11-12 players who could make the first team squad out for months due to injury and United this season. They were laughing when it happened to others. But it doesn't feel nice when it happens to you, does it?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Yep. No sympathy for them, esp not this season with all the injuries happening across the league.

Good match to Villa. Honestly thought Spurs played better today & should've came away with a point atleast, but credit to Villa for taking their chances and converting them.

Officiating was great. People making a deal about the Cash tackle are being dumb. Standard yellow.

Defense held up well, just need to execute better in the box. This gives me hope for the next few months with VDV out.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Spurs should have been 3 up at half time, but somehow went in level. Don't think too many teams would deal with the key injuries spurs have. Bit much for people to be writing of Ange

Warra title challenge for spurs 😊

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Spurs fans are crying about injuries as if Villa haven't had their fair share of injuries this season. The difference is our players learnt to adjust to the manager's tactics.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (3 children)

I like Postecoglu, but I'm gonna be a spurs hater for the rest of the season after the way the first match with Liverpool went.

So this was nice.

The "Hat trick of offside" had me dying

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Still dont get why Kulu did not get that penalty. Specially if now Martial got it for his halfass dive

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

I think people are misunderstanding the Spurs squad situation as an injury crisis. Yes there are a lot of players out, but it's not the number of players, it's the specific players and the lack of depth behind them.

Even with players healthy, we would be bound to struggle without VdV and Maddison. Those two have been transformative signings in areas of weakness we've had for years.

Although the current CB situation is shambolic, us Spurs fans knew this could happen based on the status of the squad after the summer window.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Why are Spurs fans crying about injuries? There are so many teams this season that had to cope with an injury crisis this season. Maybe if Romero & Bissouma weren't ill-disciplined their bench would have options.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha.

The irony of r/coys having a “Fuck Matty Cash”thread when they’ve had a dirty squad for years.

Seeing a lot of people in this thread who didn't actually watch the game and are just judging by scoreline. Spurs played really well and were unlucky with Son netting an offside hattrick, realistically this should have been a cruisy win for them. People trying to say Ange is washed and Spurs have been found out are absolutely hilarious, their tactics are still working, they just need to address the defensive issues and take their chances better and they'll be dominant again, this is all from a Chelsea fan.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

"They just need to concede less, score more, and they'll be dominant" 🤡
