His commentary is painful to listen to. Honestly a voice like a cheese grater.

The amount of ads about gambling these days is mental. Only today heard one on the radio about gambling with your mates in a "social" environment. They hsould be banned or at least not allowed until after 9pm or something.

Whats wrong with betting with your mates?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (3 children)

It's not only happening in UK or US as well.

I'm from Lithuania and whenever I want to watch my domestic basketball league or any game broadcasted on our domestic channels I get just spammed with gambling ads, it's like there's no other type of ad. It's gotten to absurd levels in the last few years.

ESPN Chile is insufferable with the betting ads. Most of which are extremely cringeworthy while at it.

Let's bet on this granny crossing the street before the lights change! Betting is so cool!

Not to say the people shilling them in every show. How they sleep at night.

I have an ad for gambling (UnderdogFantasy) on this very post on Reddit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

You telling me there are ads on Reddit? Never seen one.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

It feels like at least every other ad is a gambling ad in Australia. The record I have seen was 4 ads in a row. Bet365, Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, Bet365 again. Fucking ridiculous

They don't even wait for ad breaks anymore, the commentators on Talk Sport literally give you odds mid commentary and plug the betting company so there's basically no way to avoid it if you're listening on the radio

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

That’s literally what the article is about

You've almost hit the nail on the head too hard for me, Clive

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

rate Clive so much for this. It's one thing to be an advocate for something but to actually put your money on the line for your morals is something we rarely see from social media activism. My friend has gone through it with gambling addiction, I have seen what these companies do to entice players back to their services and it is horrific so I respect anyone that calls out this predatory industry

Colin Murray another one, he quit talksport when the owners of the sun bought them, said he would never work with the sun

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Careful, you'll have people chatting about "generational wealth" in your DMs soon

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (3 children)

I literally have a bet365 ad on the telegraph page when I open this. It's ridiculous.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

They’re hypocritical gossips.

Even when they say the right thing, they’re not worth trusting because they use it to try and obscure the fucking nonsense they make up to try and nudge opinion.

BET IN PLAY NOW YOU FUCKING BETTER BET BET BET BET ^(but pls gamble responsibly lol)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Just like South Park making fun of alcohol commercials lol. “BEER BEER LIQUOR PUSSY BEER GET LAID BEER. Please drink responsibly”

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Hey, I got a Betfred one!

Whoever put this page live forgot to click the “No Gambling Ads” button

This is talk sport who on world mental health day had jermaine penant on to talk about the chsllenges he had experienced.

When he was talking about what to do if you're struggling with your mental health they cut him off to l go live to the cricket. Then when he came back they were like let's move on to football, what do you think of Liverpool and Man City's chances. Before ending the conversation and saying world mental health day is sponsored by check-a-trade.com.
