CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

Intel RST for 7th Gen i7 (alien.top)

Hi,

I have a few Dell laptops with an i7-7700HQ running Intel RST Version 16.8.3.1004. Now there is a CVE for RST (CVE - CVE-2023-39230 (mitre.org)) and Intel advises to update to version 16.8.5.1014.9 or later. The link provided which should leed to the download unfortunately does not work and the only thing I can find for version 16.x is that it's EOL, but no info or lead to the mentioned version. Can anyone provide me with an offical link where I can download this version?

I did some light digging, but it would appear that the updated file simply hasn't been made available yet. This could mean that the page was taken down until it can be updated to include the new revision. Give it a few days, but after that perhaps check in on the Intel support forums to see if it's just a server side goof.
