I honestly thought that having two hands on a players back was a universally accepted sign of a foul akin to challenging a goalkeeper with two hands on the ball or making a two footed challenge.

Panel can suck deez nuts

They're just making random decisions now aren't they? Do they even care?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

"The council has made a decision, but seeing as it's a stupid-ass decision..."

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Lmao the same folks also thought Bruno G and Wilson didn’t deserve red cards lmao

Que even more Gunners whingeing, games finished, decision reviewed, your manager is going to be fined for blubbing hospital eyes out all over the telly. Just get on with it. Toon toon.

I guess we just have to acknowledge that everyone else is seeing things differently or interpreting rules differently from lack of clear explanation than the refs on the pitch and on the panel.

Their determination on the Gabriel foul is mind boggling. I could easily with them, or anyone saying it’s not a foul, recreate the situation given my experience playing soccer (football or whatever anyone wants to call it). I am 100% that if someone crosses a ball similarly and I stand behind all 4 in this panel (or anyone else) and push /shove the back of their neck they’re gonna be arguing they my were fouled. It’s like none of them understand physics and motion.

I for one am shocked

Its an obviously violent foul that should be red carded whether or not the on field ref sees it. The first job refs have is to ensure player safety. Compromising that because of some ambiguous "clear and obvious error" requirement is insane.

"The panel has five members, made up of three former players and/or coaches, plus one representative each from the Premier League and PGMOL"

Do they say any more about who the panel members were? I would expect the PL and PGMOL to usually back their own officials especially if Arsenal have just called them out publicly, and for all I know the former players could be Michael Owen, Gary Neville and Jamie O'Hara.

Can we get a 27 game ban for Arteta, please?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Very happy to see that everyone from all sides can see how moronic this panel is.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Refs can’t swallow their whistle if “clear and obvious”, whatever that really means, is the standard that continues.

I’m actually not watching any more this year. It’s not interesting.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

No credibility in this when they don’t unanimously think Bruno G on Jorginho isn’t a slam dunk red card

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Arsenal need to grow up, they’re acting like babies jesus
