yes, 11700k is actually very good cpu. it was a poor mans 5800x back then.

CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

Just a random question, what do you think is better for 12400f, gear 1 3700MHz CL16 or gear 2 4400Mhz CL19 stable with tighter timings? The latency is only a little bit better in gear 1 but the bandwidth is 20% higher in gear 2 for me.
For what use cases?
11700K still seems to retail for 280-ish?
For pure gaming, you can get a ddr4 mobo and 12400F for less money that'll outperform it.
Microcenter has a really good deal on a 13700k right now. 450 for the CPU, Asus 790 board and 32gb of DDR 5.
Is stick with a 13600k. I personally don’t see any reason to get abused by the heat output lol
