What is geoscience?

Geoscience (also called Earth Science) is the study of Earth. Geoscience includes so much more than rocks and volcanoes, it studies the processes that form and shape Earth's surface, the natural resources we use, and how water and ecosystems are interconnected. In the special event of the Nature Water Talks series, we’ll talk to two researchers who strive to reach out to wide audiences. Fabio Pulizzi will ask Peter Gleick (author of "The three ages of water") and Giulio Boccaletti (author of "Water, a biography") about their vision for the future of water based on what we have learned from history, as well as the excitement and challenges of writing books that will be read by audiences beyond the research community.
