What a rabbit hole I just went down tracking a source. My conclusion... and it's a theory... it was a tweet from "Not Will Ferrell" ( handle names @NotWillFerrell and @itsWillyFerrell) circa 2014. Now closed. Labeled as a parody account. At it peak reached 1.2million followers. And some people are accepting this is actual Will F. himself -- or has access to it. No official Twitter account. Paid "blue check" accounts were all closed as fakes (it duped the BBC). In interviews Will F. says he has a adverse\fear doing stand ups and tackles it in a weird way (in full character mode, "George Bush", "Ron Burgundy", a wedding toaster, a DJ, SNL monologue, etc). Actual plain full set comedy stand up routines are all pre-internet era (~1997) and all are in bars\clubs.
My favorite part is "itswillyferrell" sounds like "it's really ferrell" as a bit to get around paying $8. Which is weird... and that's his thing!
edit- the full quote is, "Before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with slow internet service to see who they really are".
Holy shit thanks for lookin. That’s a shame. Bet it would be a good set.
