Oh good, so in 5-10 years when this finally shakes out, and all appeals are done, they will have had plenty of time to profit and adjust their practices to do the same thing, but differently! Rinse, repeat.

This shit needs to move massively faster if it’s going to have any sort of actual impact.

That's basically been the mantra of this new FTC. The organization was corrupt and useless for so long that even with the change in leadership and a promise to go after the big targets, it's far too little too late. Amazon's stronger than most countries at this point, the U.S. can no longer realistically regulate them. I think your prediction might even be overly optimistic, I'm expecting this to lead absolutely nowhere, just like every other fight this new FTC has tried to pick.
