New to lemmy and I've been working on tweaking the appearance to my liking, but I haven't found a way to deal with the massive whitespace on either side when browsing on desktop.
Is this customizable? Or am I stuck with it?

Not possible natively as far as I'm aware, but I've been using this Tampermonkey script to approximate old reddit + RES. Looks pretty good in my opinion, I did not write it https://sh.itjust.works/post/53395

No problem! Soon after hopping over from Reddit I knew this was going to be a dealbreaker for me if I couldn't find something, and it looks like I wasn't alone :)
