This community is a place created for the people of Melbourne and Victoria. We are a positive, welcoming and inclusive community. We might not agree about everything, but we always strive to stay civil and respectful.
The focus of our discussions is based around things that effect Victoria, but we are also free to discuss our local perspective on wider issues. Or head to the regular Daily Random Discussion thread to talk about anything.
Ongoing discussions, FAQs & Resources (still under construction)

One of the things I really don't like about being work at home is that I feel guilty when I get sick and take time off.

Second-last Report Type That I Really Really Really Hate Doing out of the way, after dragging my soul through it for the whole day. I have to update the very last one for a disaster project next week - one of the worst I've ever worked on - and then hopefully that's it forever.
I'm not quitting my job per se, but it does feel like serving out your notice at some places. Continuing to go through the motions feels particularly painful when freedom is around the corner.
Watching a British actor, director, or writers filmography inevitably means watching some pretty low budget period pieces. Tonight's offering as my Keeley Hawes education comes to an end is Under The Greenwood Tree (an adaptation of Thomas Hardys' novel of the same name), a production that had a dream and a penny they found on the ground to pay for it all.
Is there a blog/social media page type thing for alternative sports/activities in Melbourne? Where they might review the sport, what's involved and the culture etc. Seems like there are a lot on offer in Melbourne, but no out there trying them all and documenting it(?) Thinking things like axe throwing, Trugo, larping, bike polo, roller derby and so on.
Bray Wyatt :(
Rough week to be a wresting fan.
I've had some sad news today.
Vale EAL. Thank you.
