Why is this a thing when the Trackers community already exists?

Trackers is virtually abandoned and unmoderated, nor does it contain much information that could be useful for beginners.

Source: Several people in IRC chats & on Reddit.

Since JPTV announced it was shutting down on the 15th of next month (Source: JPTV Rizon IRC) PTP & BTN have launched an effort to try and get together as much JPTV exclusive content as possible including the quite large array of subtitles created by the JPTV userbase.

This should mean that TV series & films located on JPTV aren't lost.
