MODERATORS

I actually just registered it because it was available but I have my hands full modding /c/drumandbass, /c/jungle and the general lemmy world support community @ /c/support.

So if anyone wants to run this one properly. Let me know.

Ok, some mods have been added. We have 4 now which should be enough for the amount of subscribers.

Welcome to the team @[email protected], @[email protected] and @[email protected]!

Hey I live in Brussels and I'm chronically online, where do I sign up? :)

Not sure, but is it possible to moderate a community if you're on another instance? I'm planning to move :)

Yes it's possible to be a mod even from other instances.

Is it? I thought it was only possible from a local account

You can only create communities on your local instance. But you can mod remote instances for sure.

Interesting

Any guides for good modding and the tools that are available?

Tools are pretty limited. The lemmy apps that are popping up more and more are focussed more on the user-experience instead of the community management side. But I'm sure that will get better.

You will see a new shield icon to the left of your username on top. There you can find all posts that have been reporting. I'll tag my own post here as an example.

So when a post is reported it's up to you to decide wether or not they are violating the community or server guidelines. The rules of this community are in the sidebar and the server/instance rules can be found here: https://mastodon.world/about

Rules for the community are subject to change, they're pretty basic for now but if they need to be changed at one point ofcourse we can.
