It's terrible that awful person who raised him illegally.
That is a magnificent leaf though. Very charming. 5 hoots.
For owls that are superb.

Some people think they're doing good (Peanut the Squirrel) and some people think it will be fun to have an owl, but they aren't indoor animals and they don't know how to live lives comparable with us so they make bad pets.
By taking an animal from the wild like that, it can't ever go back, even though there isn't anything physically wrong with it. It's sad to see them get denied the life they were supposed to have. I'm glad this one made it to a place where people can care for it responsibly.
Droll, very droll
Cecil B DeOwl
I feel I am close to getting this reference, but just missing it.
I have learned some pop culture though trying to figure it out and now a lot more old jokes make sense.
A play on the movie director Cecil B. DeMille. :)
Gotcha. That was the part I was able to figure out. Wasn't sure if there was a specific movie reference about the leaf or some such.
Now I know it's "Mr. Demille, I'm ready for my close up" in all the references and not Me DeVille. I also learned that is a somewhat creepy reference to have in a kids cartoon. 😧
