spending more on defence means spending less on other priorities. But it is only a little less. On average, European countries easily spend up to a quarter of their national income on pensions, health and social security systems.

This of course is because Russia had to boost military production to fight off NATO evil, and so the only obvious solution is soylent green, and mandatory draft.

A 50% military budget increase is a significant price to pay for the misinformed crackheads that support the Ukrainian war, and the innocents who don't.

Dressing it up in desperate Trump appeasement terms is sure to bring unity instead of revolution in EU sycophants.
