how can a community on #lemmy be followed,that does not appear in search results of magazines on #kbin ?

In their sidebar is usually a url to copy. You’ll need to change the leading ! To @ and paste it in search.

It’s usually something like @worldnews or whatever with your community between the @‘s and the instance at the end

we are getting there.community is found through #kbin now,with instructions provided.thanks for that!!but content of community,such as threads are not displayed within #kbin. also owner of community within #kbin appears to be some guy named ernest,which according to the original source of community on lemmy,is aboslutely not true,so how can we get the content of a community from lemmy,to be shown within #kbin , especiall if the community from lemmy,is already found through #kbin ?

Editing old posts should get them to sync over and appear, but otherwise yes it won't grab posts from before you subscribed.

It'll populate from the point you subscribe. Kbin doesn't backfill. It showing as Ernest being the owner is a bug. Just ignore it.

Old content won’t populate. Only the new content posted to the community. As for Ernest, that’s the default moderator for all federated communities. He is the site admin and creator of kbin.
