3 passes. Face lather. Good shave.

I went to Spain and Germany for the shave today. Unfortunately, I was rushed and distracted.

  • Brush: AP Shave Co. - 24mm Synbad Fan
  • Razor: Wolfman Guerilla (Gen 1)
  • Blade: Bolzano Superinox (German) (1)
  • Lather: Palmolive - Sensitive - Cream
  • Post Shave: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Mood Indigo - Balm

I enjoyed this shave more than I thought I would. Palmolive certainly is not an artisan soap, but it works. I try to keep track of good razor/blade combos that I come across, and I don't think I've tried these together before. It ended up on my "good" list, though! Bolzano work well in mild razors for me.

  • Brush: Farvour Turn Crafts w/ C&H v12 Fanchurian
  • Razor: Ralf Aust 6/8, Full Hollow Square Point
  • Lather: Spearhead Shaving - Seaforth! Roman Spice
  • Post Shave: Spearhead Shaving - Seaforth! Roman Spice Aftershave Splash
  • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving - Seaforth! Roman Spice EdT

First go with Roman Spice. First impressions: Fantastic. This is a really nice scent. Mrs. Pudding is even more of a fan of it than I am. She loves it.

Luckily, I have 4 days until the official release to talk myself out of this :)

I don't think you should. It's really good! The dry down on the EdT is 🤌

Hope it gets there soon! It's good stuff. Definitely a safe blind buy.

  • Brush: Zenith B8 (XL aluminium handle, 28 mm × 57 mm boar)
  • Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf, first generation, NOS
  • Blade: Personna GEM PTFE
  • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original
  • Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original

The B8 with the higher loft works better than the stubby B21 with veg Tabac, but I'm still not getting the kind of sopping wet slickness I used to get from the tallow Tabac. The dialling in continues.
