Horrific and unsurprising. They were drawing cartoons of Palestinians as cockroaches, this is what you get as a result of that level of dehumanization. Profoundly diseased society

Nazi's often referred to Jews as rats. The comparison between a sort of vermin that lives in our streets and the people that are undergoing a genocide is quickly made it seems. People in the 50'ies would never believe you if you told them that 70 odd years later, it would be a Jewish government at the head of a genocide.

Yes, dehumanization is a common feature of genocide. Rohingya in Myanmar were called fleas and rabid dogs, Tutsi in Rwanda were called cockroackes and vermin.
