I feel like the grid is the wrong way around here and pole should have been on the inside.
Or Max is just that damn good.
Before the race started, every driver/pundit said the inside is usually quite dirty and it statistically puts you at a distinct disadvantage down to turn one. This year's race start runs contrary to previous years where the pole sitter has comfortably held the lead.

Yup. Regardless of who one supports, it is a bad design IMHO.
So Sainz is his own strategist now hahaha
That was certainly a race
Max just Blitzed everyone else. That was insane. Everyone else is the one 1:22/1:23βs and Max drops a 1:20.5
The only way we're going to see competitive figths for the win the coming years is if Red Bull seriously fucks up the car. I'm not trying to be defeatist or anything and I'm in complete awe of his skill, but Max is actually just levels above.
Max is one of those generational talents that is just going to be blisteringly fast in any kind of machinery, but when heβs given a good car heβs unstoppable.
Mclaren has gotten closer, and if they stay on their current trajectory we might see something.
I just feel bad for LeClerc
Does anyone think the Alfas will be able to maintain their qualifying pace in the race? Or will they be like Haas and drop back over time?
My understanding is that their race pace looked quite good in the practices.
It's a bit odd seeing all these medium compounds at the front. I think the new tire allocation will result in a lot more strategies
wow Alpine having a rough month
RIP Zhou, what a bummer
McLaren confirming their good upgrades then
Perez looking decent now! He needs this after a bad quali.
Mclaren looking great
Mercedes poor performance in the heat again
Did Max just casually do 1.20.5? What?
Have they told Charles about his penalty yet?
+5 for Zhou.
Russell: my tires are dead, I need to pit.
2 laps later: makes up 1.8 sec gap and passes Sainz.
