I got so lost in the picture I can't quite remember if it was the case throughout the picture, but at least in the start of the picture, I noticed that there was English subs, with the Danish subs placed below or above, in the few instances that had English subs.
That was Imax on Fisketorvet.

Eh even reading the subtitles it made zero sense to me but the movie was still good. Definitely not that big of a problem imo

Depends a bit on the version you're watching. Imperial in CPH is showing it in 70mm reel, so the subtitles are hardcoded on the reel, in English.
However I also saw the version on THX digital where there was no English version, only danish.

In denmark, where people speak danish, if there is sub/dub it would be logical to assume anything translated would be translated INTO danish, and not another language.
Our english is quite good. My best estimate is that 75% of adults not yet reached ritirement age would pick up most of the story if subs were english (less if its filled with sci-fy words or, a realy talky movie like Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, detective movies, ect). But the film industry want to sell to those who wasnt so bookish/good at languages/had other reasons why they didnt get that good at english, so they tranlate and use subtiles in danish - that way a lot more can watch the movie without risking loosing the story.
Dubs is used for chiledrens movies... And still they mostly show the big childrens movies like Disney in both dubed or subed... in danish. But in dubbed, they will translate it all, english and almen language ect into dubbed danish.
If in doubt, visit the website of whatever cinema you maybe wanna visit. And see what they write. Kino.dk is one of the big cinema brands, they used to have pretty good explanaitions for non-danes in english too. Google a bit and you will find your answer. Or a Phone number to call and ask.
