I live in Sweden and I get this joke every time my Danish background comes up. It gets real old, real fast, but I usually counter by telling them I hadn’t seen a sober Swede before moving here so maybe my creativity isn’t that excellent either.

And that joke is made by people who speak languages like Czech or Hungarian or Polish. I understand an Italian or a Spanish or a Greek person saying that but most European languages don't have much better sound than danish.
