CBP: Hey those people are in danger

TX: Fuck off

CBP: Some of them are children and they seem like they might actually die

TX: I said fuck off

How is whether some of them died from the danger right before, or right after, all this happened a "gotcha" with respect to whether helping them was right or not? I'd say it's been demonstrated that they were, in fact, in danger.

Right before? They drowned an hour before.

My point is, it seems completely reasonable that the people in the water at 9 PM might have been in genuine danger, if the people in the water at 8 PM drowned. The fact that they managed to survive doesn't change that.

You forgot the part where CBP doesn't do their job and instead invites people in creating a situation where people risk downing.

What's the mechanism for people to legally apply for asylum?

What is the most common path of entry for illegal immigrants inside the United States?

What's the most common continent of origin for illegal immigrants to the United States?

Go to a port of entry and apply. It is not to illegally cross the border and only claim asylum when you get caught.

What about the other two questions? I'm trying to find out how much you actually understand about the situation you're talking about.

Your information is out of date. We had 2.3 million encounters with illegals last year. There were 853,955 legal immigrant visas last year. It's illegally crossing the border. In any case, we can handle more than one kind of illegal immigration at a time. https://www.fairus.org/blog/2023/06/30/new-report-highlights-visa-overstays

What does the nationality have to do with anything? Hell, we're getting Chinese and Arabic terrorists across the Mexican border now.
