From Adel Tarrabt to Michu, there have been some unbelievable streets will never forget ballers over the years. Who takes the crown?

For me its Hleb or Ben Arfa. Also i think you spelled Adel’s last name incorrect but im not sure enough on how to spell it. Google says its Taarabt.

Hleb, what a player

Dunno if he s "street will never forget" or just "normally never forget" player, but Aaron Ramsey for me

His whole horror injury, the goal/celebrity death ratio all makes him a fun one to remember

Don't know about best, but Mousa Dembele would be the submission from Spurs in the last several years. Everyone from that stacked Belgium squad from 2016-2018 or so seemed to all feel that Dembele was the best player they'd played alongside.

The way he powered through the midfield, so strong and slick just wow

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

Absolutely loved watching him play. Hated when it was against us.

Came here to say this. Literally everyone who has played on the same team as him speak about him with reverence. One of the most under appreciated ballers and the definition of “press resistant” before that term became hip

Dmitri Payet being the most exciting player every single week for like 18 months.

Michu’s half season was the most amazing hot stretch.

Otherwise, I just want to name some random ass people who were amazing for a second. Adnan Januzaj carrying Man United. Ravel Morrison being a legend for 15 minutes. Papiss Cisse’s brace vs Chelsea was the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I really thought Januzaj was going to the top of the game

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

He broke out right when every good player turned out to be Belgian

Wilshere. I truly believe if it wasn’t for his injuries he would be a top-midfielder. Maybe not the same calibre as Stevie, Frank or Scholesy. But damn, when he was fit and on point he was really, really good. And that’s coming from a United fan.

That goal he scored after 58 million passes or whatever was incredible

Nani. If you watch a highlight reel of Nani’s tricks and best goals you’d think he was the greatest to grace the game, he was special on his day but was never really consistent for long enough at the top.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

I thought he was one of the main reasons why United won the league in 2010/11

John Arne Riise and Seb Larsson for the free kicks.

Rory Delap for his ability in handling balls.

The one true goat, Rory Delap.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Everyone answering this with people who balled for a short while and then dropped off or left, but that isn't really a streets will never forget player.

Morten Gamst Pederson, Jay Jay Okocha, Juan Pablo Angel, people that consistently played exceptionally for their club but never good enough to get a look or shot at a top 3 club.

Other ones that could be mentioned as a streets will never forget are one's that had some sort of niche skillset on the field. Rory Delap throw ins, big Duncan Ferguson for being big Duncan, Paul Dickov for looking hilarious in a striker pairing with Big Duncan, Robbie Savage for being one of the league's top cunts, Riise for having a thundercunt of a left food that destroyed Alan Smith's career, etc.

That's just my take though.
