All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.

If the downvotes bother you that much you can turn them off in the preferences.
And people downvote stuff like this because they disagree with conservativism.
Now we don't have to imagine the effects of years of neoliberal policy. Deregulation of markets, exporting jobs and industries to other countries, together with the war on drugs, destruction of mental health services and dropping the social safety net were all policies that had negative consequences for Americans. Desperate people are turning to crime. How unexpected!
