What’s the go with gifs? Can’t get them to play?what I’m doing wrong?

I tried and failed to embed an uploaded gif (downloaded from giphy on iOS), it gave me the same result.
Thanks thought it was just me. Wonder what the go is. I have seen it work a few weeks back.
