Looking for a NAS for my homelab (alien.top)

Lately, I've been exploring QNAP due to its robust hardware, but it’s a little beyond my budget. Are there any suitable options? Will be using this as my video server/backup/ Jellyfin player mount point etc. Planning on using a graphic card to transcode 4k 2 or 3 videos per time. Just want something out of the box that doesn’t have to be configured.

Any experiences and recommendations with NAS would be greatly appreciated!

maybe for a little help, if you are going to hardware transcoding in Plex, choosing an Intel CPU with an integrated GPU (iGPU) is the quickest, simplest, and most power-efficient option.

thanks! Should I use Thunderbolt 3 or 4? Will there be a noticeable difference?

Thunderbolt has nothing to do with an integrated GPU.
