If the 5500x3d is just around 5600x in price then it would be good deal. Its not for everyone since its only at 4Ghz top speed which would make the FPS limit around 120 or 144?

Max frame rate will be game dependent. Plenty of old 2GHz processors can do 144 on old games, and plenty of 4GHz processors can't do 100 hz in some demanding new games.
