...So basically, as a prosumer you don't even get 8 RAM slots anymore on HEDT? Kind of a joke.

That's 192GB today (512GB in the future, 128GB modules are part of the DDR5 spec), not exactly a small amount.

It significantly increases the price if you want a large amount of RAM though and doesn't allow you to double the RAM later by just getting another quad channel kit.

Sure, you could say that someone who buys this platform can probably afford it (which would most likely be true), but I still think that these quality of life features aren't too much to ask for at this price. But maybe that's just me mourning the time when HEDT was actually a viable option for enthusiasts.
