Why don't headlines like this happen when the entire West Coast of the US has AQIs above this (the value in that article is 148, and I've seen numbers in the 300s in WA state during wildfire season). It feels like people complain about the bad air, but our press, or maybe our health departments, aren't spreading the word. This headline is attention-grabbing. Why isn't our press telling us to stay inside? It's always just "sensitive populations" need to be careful, as if it's just the folks with iffier lungs that need to worry about the chewy air.

A bit confused, are you ranting that the western media didn't cover enough during the wildfire season or you are pointing out the the local media only focusing on sensitive population in Malaysia ?

Sorry, the first one. ☺️ The fires themselves get less and less coverage every year, and the poor air quality almost none. Like they're bored with it already.
