I've seen a lot of criminal poutines in my time, but this one takes the cake. Mostly because it looks like cake.

I present to you Chicken Waffles™. Made of 100% chicken. It is a simple recipe really. All you need is cooked chicken breast, eggs, a blender, and a frying pan.

Instructions: Take a chicken breast, cook it, put it in the blender, and add eggs for consistency and thinning the paste.

Put your newfound chicken paste into your frying pan (preferably square) or a waffle maker and then cook until you have a chicken pancake (don't forget to flip it). Cut the pancake into squares and serve with your your sauces of choice!

Edit: For whatever reason, I am unable to upload the photo directly to lemmy. I just get a JSON error.

Hello everyone -

A few days ago I made a post asking for feedback about allowing Reddit reposts here and the response has been overwhelmingly in favour of allowing it. So in response, I have updated the sidebar with some rules.

Updates to sidebar:

Added the rules for Lemmy.ca as this community is hosted on that instance. I figured these are good to reiterate for anyone visiting from another instance. These rules are non-negotiable.

Added Community Rules. The first one is a result of the previously mentioned feedback. I'd like to encourage original content (there's lots of shitty food out there) but feel free to repost any content from Reddit. The second rule about using the [META] tag is just a personal preference in case this place gets popular.

That's it. Now go forth and enjoy some shitty food porn.

Fattier meat + home-made corndogs would really set this off

Hey folks -

It's no secret that I created this community to replace the shittyfoodporn sized hole that was in my heart when I migrated from reddit to Lemmy. We'll probably never be as big or active as they are, and that's fine. There's nothing wrong with being a small community and I certainly don't want to mod like 2 million people.

I've been popping my head into reddit every now and then to check on the drama and I noticed that /r/shittyfoodporn has un-privated itself.

So my question to this community: would you like to see some content from reddit reposted here (for example, some of the top posts on /r/shittyfoodporn) to increase the amount of content in /c/shittyfoodporn or would you rather that we take a slower and more organic approach to things and only showcase the food of our members here on Lemmy?

I'll sticky this post for a while. Feel free to use the upvote/downvote as a makeshift polling option (upvote = yes reddit content, downvote = only Lemmy content) or just drop a comment in this thread.
