Looking to optimize the airflow of this case.

Current configuration is the following:

-Front 3x Artic PST 120 [Intake]

-Side (AIO) 3x Artic PST 120 [Exhaust] + Arctic Freezer II 360 + 3x Artic PST Slim 120 [Exhaust]

-Rear GPU [Intake] (this is forced so I cannot change it...

I think I'd have better thermals if I swapped the side to also intake air, my GPU (7900XTX) never exceeds 60c, and the CPU (7950X3D) pushes 70-71c in the current configuration. My primary reason for changing stuff around is that it seems the GPU is heating the CPU radiator and unable to remove the heat fast enough.

Admittedly I'm a little concerned with the thermal paste application and possibly the mounting job of the pump to the CPU since it does like to idle around 60-63c.

Any advice appreciated, feel like I should be getting better thermals with the hardware I have.

So, I stumbled upon this uber small case which I'm sure many of you are already familiar with, but I'm wondering what's the max performance you could squeeze out of such a small volume case.

So far I've been toying with a 7600x + 4060ti 8gb build which I think would handle 1080p Ultra perfectly, but ideally I'd like to build something a little more solid at 1440p.

Is there a better configuration? Or maybe a 7-8L case that could fit a slightly larger GPU?

Hello everyone !

I Just finished my NR 200P build today but once finished and started (boot etc) I realized that I had forgotten my I/O shield so I dismantled my mobo and put the part in place but now nothing happens when i press the start button.... Did i miss something when I set up the I/O shield ? I really want to do a clean setup so no way to took-off this thing.

My current Build :

MOBO : B550m-ITX AS Rock

PSU : SFX-L Bequiet 600W

I didn't use any standoff mod or riser....

First Build here, I am open to all criticisms and comments !

(sorry for my bad english, that's not my native language)

Hi,

There is only Lenovo P330 tiny with two NVMe slot ? It works with 4To NVMe drive (and a second drive in the future) ?

I look for that model for the PCI slot. I want to put a 10gbe NIC :)

Do you have other option ?

I was told this sub would be the best to get some feedback, so feel free to chime in!

I'm developing my own SFF case. I thought I would get some opinions on what could be changed on ITX cases that would be useful or better quality of life.

Anyway, this is a serious post. I have a full manufacturing company.

I am looking into finally reducing my computing to a more minimalistic but efficient PC setup. I've been looking at Minisforum computers. Does anyone have any thoughts on this company? I am looking at their higher-end PCs.

I've been building computers and servers for myself since 2003. I am now looking to have the smallest PC I can get that is super fast, super quiet, doesn't run hot, and has reasonable storage expansion capacities via M2 or SSD.

I've reviewed multiple options to build my own, but I'm finding that some of sff pc builders could provide - at least on paper - a more performant all-in-one package at a better price and footprint than I could put together myself. Additionally, I'm starting to become more time-crunched, and I don't want to spend too much time the physical installation of the device.

I don't game much, but I do play iRacing on a single large, curved monitor. Other than that, no gaming until Civ 7 is released. I do watch lots of videos while I work. I am a website admin and SEO by trade. Most of my work is brower-based with high-end tools (SEMRush, etc.), but do lots of crunching Excel. I do use Photoshop. I also do some home audio recording and have plans to move developing some videos potentially for YouTube or another video platform. Therefore, I need something that is going to be an all around powerhouse, but I do not need top-of-the line, state-of-the-art, just released type of CPUs or GPUs. I believe 32GB RAM will be enough, but DDR5 would be a minimum. As for Storage, I want to fasted M2 capabilities available. I suspect that 1 or 2 additional storage options (either m2 or ssd, or combination) would be good for my general storage, and maybe a back up disk. I do run a massive NAS, so everything would be backed-up redundantly on premises-as well as in the cloud. I'm also considering an ass SSD or M2 NAS via USB near the device as well.

Any suggestions on sff builders that would fit this near or experiences with these builders would be helpful.

is this kinda coil whine for a sf750 normal?

it only seems to be making this noise when my gpu is under load, not my cpu. i have tried different two different gpus and it makes the same noise. only seems to make the noise when higher than a certain wattage, and my gpu is using two separate pcie cables. i have an rtx 2080.

Saw a couple of builds on their site, and looks pretty worth it for the price. Thinking of purchasing one, but I'm a little skeptical since they don't list any specific names for some of the components

Here is their website:

I’ve been planing to finally make a pc build. However, my desk space is minimal so I would prefer to make it small form factor. My budget is about £3000 gbp. I would prefer to use the zotac 4090 because it’s my favourite looking one and I can get one pretty cheap but if needs be I could probably afford a different one. Also the cpu I’m planning to use is a 7800x3d. Beyond that I’m flexible.

Hey, I’m planning on building my first Small Form Factor system. Truth be told, I'm not very experienced with PC building, so I'd appreciate some tips from experienced individuals.

The configuration is based on three parameters:

  • I'm aiming for a good price/performance ratio and a small form factor, although I'm aware this may result in higher component prices.
  • However, I also want to play at 4k resolution as I have a nice monitor, and scaling looks bad.
  • The PC should handle games like Cities Skylines 2, the next Arma, CK3, Victoria 3, Mount and Blade Bannerlord, and Manor's Lord. These aren't AAA titles, but they still demand decent performance.

Or:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
  • Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM CPU Cooler
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte A620I AX Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard
  • Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory
  • Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
  • Case: Fractal Design Terra
  • Power Supply: Corsair SF600 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply
  • GPU: ___?

As for the GPU, I'm leaning towards an RTX 4070 (Super?) because of its efficiency.

I would really appreciate your thoughts :).

Good day, gentlemen.

So, I have recently purchased pretty much all parts listed here, except the CPU cooler. Now, I would like to do whatever I can (within reason) to cool my CPU as efficiently as possible. The 7000 series tend to run and boost high and hot, by design.

  1. I take it that the Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full copper is the best <48mm cooler? I know it's not compatible with Asrock boards. But I still opted in for the Asrock board as it remains the best A620 board I could find. I should be able to file down the hex bolt of the cooler to get around the issue.
  2. I have seen talks about the stock fan of the X47 Full being quite loud. Is there any specific fan that I should buy and swap it with? It could potentially perform better.
  3. Are there any other fans I can add to the case that can make a meaningful difference? And where would they be placed?

I think that's all I can think of. As for the 4070, I am not worried at all. I know it runs efficiently and sips little power. Otherwise, if you have anything else to add regarding the build in general, then please do.

Just wanted to share this in case anyone else has a similair problem with their setup.

I have a Fractal Ridge gaming PC hooked up to my TV that is placed in a shelf in my TV console that is enclosed on all sides except the front. Because of the tight spacing, heat would get trapped and recycled by the fans, and the computer case would get uncomfortably hot to the touch after an hour or two of gaming, even on less demanding titles. I've been researching ways to fix this, but everything required either moving the PC or cutting holes in our TV Console (which I did not want to do).

I recently found some AC Infinity 120mm usb-powered blower fans on Amazon and picked up two of them. I placed one underneath the PC's GPU compartment (I have some custom feet I made out of an oak dowel, so it has enough clearance) and placed another at the top back of the cabinet to catch any hot air that rises.

Both are pointing toward the opening in front, and I can feel the hot air being pushed out by them.

Temperatures no longer creep up over time, and my case is cool to the touch, even after long sessions with my most demanding titles (like Jedi Survivor and Alan Wake 2 that pin my 6700xt to 90-100%). And as a bonus, my internal case fans/gpu fans don't have to work nearly so hard, so the whole setup is much quieter.

To make the fans turn on/off with the computer, I just had to make a couple changes in bios (turn off usb power in soft shutdown states) and Windows (disable fast startup--which hasn't made a difference in speed afaict).

Hope this helps someone with a similair HTPC hotbox.
