I need help with my pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2MTqmC. Basically I built this pc around a year ago. From the start I was experiencing performance issues, the biggest problem of all was that games didn't feel smooth, despite reaching high and stable fps. The monitor Im using is 165hz 2560x1440. I've tried so many things: reinstalling drivers, reinstalling os, reapplying thermal paste, monitoring temps and usage, changing display cable cable, enabling axmp, getting another monitor and it's still the same. A few days ago I've decided to run some tests on my ram via memtest83 and I was getting a ton of errors, since then I've replaced my ram and run again those tests - everything looks fine now. The problem didn't go away. Frankly I didn't notice any difference. What I don't understand is that my pc seems to run fine performance-wise - good score on benchmarks https://www.3dmark.com/spy/52029011, good stable fps in-game but games still feel like shit. Changing settings to lowest/highest/vsync on or off - its all the same. I think that the more I play the worse it gets. I get these microstutters and the game feels less and less smooth. I will be extremely grateful for any help.

Thinking I'm probably gonna be more than happy if the build ends up capable of at least 90-100+ Frames at 1440p.

Heard that a 4070 Super would be a good GPU to go with, and a Google search seems to imply at least a Ryzen 5 7600x.

I've seen builds on PC Builder going anywhere from just under $1000 to way more.

Probably try to keep the Tower part of the build to $1500 max.

I want the build to be something better than the last one I had (it was a Ryzen 7 3700x or 3800x with a 3070) that I didn't end up keep long term as I needed money for other things at the time. Now I don't and I have a good full time job.

I'm thinking of buying this adapter so I could attach my old GTX1060 6GB video card to my motherboard's spare 1x PCIe slot solely for local LLM inference (it only slows down loading the model but speeds up inference compared to CPU and system memory).

The issue is I have no idea how to secure or mount the video card in the system once it's installed. Any ideas?

On November 25, I purchased the MSI Aegis R2. When I received it, my friends were telling me to make sure to update my processor drivers due to the microcode issues. While we were looking into that, we discovered I didn't have the right processor. The processor installed was an i5-12600KF when the ad says i9-14900F. That's a $600 difference from their own store.

I initiated the return the following morning. While talking to customer service, I complained because they almost got away with it. They agreed to upgrade me to MSI Aegis ZS2. They said go ahead and purchase and we'll do our investigation and price match after.

I JUST got an email saying they're refusing the return for the Aegis R2 altogether.. because they're saying it's not a Newegg error? What the hell?

What in the world do I do now? They're trying to frame this as if I changed the processor?
