This is a community for the game of cricket. I don't know if there's one for bugs yet.

After the furore over Bairstow's run out in the Ashes, is this one "great awareness" as the BBC says (in the body, the headline seems to have been changed!), or poor sportsmanship?

The only thing I miss about reddit are the Live Match Threads during the match. With the ongoing Asia cup and CWC round the corner can we start hosting the threads here ? I know there are very few people in this community but let's start small, It felt so out of place watching the Ind vs Pak game without the match thread.

I have no idea how those were hosted, maybe there are programmers here who can write the bot for it like on reddit, else atleast initially we can create the thread manually. I genuinely think that the threads will help the community grow.

Streaming is awful. It will give you error messages about not being allowed to be on VPN when you aren't on VPN, it will say its not available in your country, when there are no other way to watch it in your country (which I'm pretty sure its only supposed to do if you are in like India or Australia). Not just streaming matches on YouTube is a disservice to the existing fan-base and even more-so when it comes to trying to expand the fan-base into emerging markets, which is one of the things the ICC is SUPPOSED to be tasked with.

Anytime it is easier to pirate content, such as streaming from a sketchy website, than to get it the legitimate way is always a sign of a poor design. Its even worse when the non-pirated content is also intended to be available gratis.

Man... What a match. Never felt sad for a team other than India when they lost. Tough luck for Afghanistan.

Australia's uncapped players will get the opportunity to impress in the upcoming T20Is and ODIs

Mitchell Marsh, Australia's new T20I captain and stand-in leader of the ODI side, has been "blown away" by his brief sightings of left-arm quick Spencer Johnson who will get his first taste of international cricket in South Africa.

Marsh expects all the uncapped players heading on the tour - there are four overall including Matthew Short, Tanveer Sangha and Aaron Hardie - will get the opportunity to showcase their skills, but it's Johnson who is the most talked-about after his rapid rise through the game over the last nine months.

An old but interesting article about bat up vs bat down batting technique.

First day of the Metro Bank Cup (English county 50 over tournament).

It’ll be interesting to see how the counties go with some of the key limited overs players also on Hundred duty - a chance for fringe and youth players to stake a claim perhaps!
