This was a birthday present from our entire family. My grandparents are in their late 70s. We chose a package that included airport transfers so everything would be taken care of.

When they arrived, no one was there. No contact. They had to pay for a taxi themselves, in a country where they don’t speak the language.

I messaged the company’s emergency WhatsApp line right away. They replied twice in the first two days to say “they would be in touch soon”, then stopped. I followed up every day and got nothing but automated messages.

Their return flight is today and still no response. They had to arrange that transfer on their own too.

ETA: didn’t expect this to blow up, I really appreciate all the comments and support! - the company name is Voyage Privé since quite a few were asking: not a scam company, just an established company that handled an urgent situation extremely poorly. I am indeed based in Europe where WhatsApp business accounts are pretty common. My grandparents found a way to the airport and are now safe and sound. :)
