Keeping Track of the 2nd Trump administration!

One thing Donald Trump and the extreme right were very good at doing is burying the track record of his first presidency from 2017 to 2021.

Keep Track is dedicated to literally keeping track, day by day, of the policy decisions made by the new Trump Administration.

That is not to say we're interested in the crazy things he says or tweets, he clocked over 30,000 lies the last time he was in office, I don't see how it's possible to track all of that. This is about POLICY. Nominees, executive orders, signed laws, and so on.

Subject line format should be {{date}} {{event}} so: "01-20-2025 - Trump is sworn in."

The international date format of 2025-01-20 is also acceptable!

Links should be to verifiable news sources, not social media or blog sites. So no Xitter/Truth/Youtube/Substack/etc. etc.

I posted two videos that did a better job of explaining the brazen scam that this is but they were removed because of a no video policy. This article will have to do.

Vivek Ramaswamy has stepped down from co-leading President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), according to the Associated Press. The official line as to why Ramaswamy is moving on is that he plans to run for elected office — he reportedly intends to run for Ohio governor.

“Vivek Ramaswamy played a critical role in helping us create DOGE,” spokesperson Anna Kelly says in the statement to the Associated Press. “He intends to run for elected office soon, which requires him to remain outside of DOGE, based on the structure that we announced today. We thank him immensely for his contributions over the last 2 months and expect him to play a vital role in making America great again.”

"The first order he signed before a crowd at the Capital One Arena revoked approximately 80 executive actions that had been signed by former President Joe Biden. He also signed a freeze on new regulations, as well as a hiring freeze on federal workers. And Trump also withdrew — again — from the Paris climate treaty."

List of revoked Biden executive orders here:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/initial-rescissions-of-harmful-executive-orders-and-actions/

It's worth noting, that Biden only issued 160 orders, by revoking 80 of them, Trump has reduced that by 1/2.

Looks like the usual, DEI, climate crisis, covid restrictions, ethics.

Summary

The Senate confirmed Marco Rubio as U.S. secretary of state on Monday with near-unanimous support, making him the first Latino to hold the position.

Rubio, a former senator and Trump critic turned ally, endorsed Trump’s "America First" foreign policy and highlighted the importance of NATO while advocating for concessions to end the Ukraine war and stronger measures against China over Taiwan.

His confirmation reflects a dramatic shift in his relationship with Trump since their contentious 2016 primary battle.

Rubio's nomination faced minimal resistance, apart from protests labeling him a "war hawk."
