I primarily prefer it because it does pretty much all the Minecraft stuff I want it to do, and it's got other games available as well. Plus, completely Linux compatible and no Microsoft account!

What pushed me over the edge was how much worse the user experience became with 8 & 10.

I really disliked the lack of control over updates, settings and defaults being reverted after minor updates, and the constant pushing of Microsoft accounts and services. The data collection and privacy issues certainly didn't help either. I switched from 7 to 10 for a period of time, but eventually started using Linux for everything except for games. I started realizing just how good Linux gaming was getting, and I eventually had one too many issues with my Windows partition and just quit using it entirely.

I don't remember having a lot of the frustrations I hear some talk about when switching, but I think that was because early on I realized I just needed to start figuring out the Linux way of doing things rather than bringing my Windows experience over.

I enjoyed it overall! I would rank it behind BTAS and Batman Beyond, but still good. While I enjoy much of the Batman content I've seen, I especially enjoy the more grounded takes on the character. This definitely has some of that, along with a decent mix of more fantastical things too. I haven't made up my mind yet on a few of the character changes, but it's not a major thing. I did get a laugh out of all the callbacks in episode 8 though! There were some in the other episodes too, but that one especially stood out.

Also, here's a video that gives you an idea of what the menus and customization options look like, although this is the older version of the home console. Not sure if they changed anything on the new ones. I would most likely buy one if I didn't already own a lot of my favorite games, and I may still buy one anyway just to have something nice and simple to hook up and play.

Value is going to depend a lot on your preferences, but it does seem like a nice system for the price. I don't personally own one at this point, but I have had the chance to play some games on the EXP, and in my opinion it's a pretty good experience. Keep in mind that you'll probably never see Nintendo and Sega specific titles on it, but there are a lot of good games outside of that. It's probably going to come down to if it has games that you like.

This show seems to only get wilder with every season! I'm here for it though. Now we just need seasons every year, and preferably more episodes too.

I'm amazed by how well many games run on the Deck. You obviously can't have every graphic setting cranked, but it's still pretty good.

I'm not sure of the reasons why other people don't like the games, but for me it's primarily just not being pulled into the story and world. So far I've tried Horizon: Zero Dawn, Spiderman Remastered, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, and God of War, and the only one I actually finished and liked was Uncharted. Horizon I liked the gameplay and world fairly well, but the story was a bit boring. The others I put a number of hours into and quit because I wasn't enjoying myself. I didn't have super high expectations of any of them, so I don't think it's that. They may just not be my kind of game anymore, although I do like some games that are somewhat similar.

Yeah, it can be frustrating in times like that.

Oh yes, those are a lot of fun! It does add a lot to the game. Just a warning, I've found them to be a bit buggy at times, so I would recommend doing a save before taking one. They may have fixed it since I took one though.

I would have a problem with a game that sells premium bullets, because as I said in my previous comment, it gives an actual gameplay advantage when playing against other players. Which means it's what I would call pay to win, and means I wouldn't play it. To this point I've played several free to play games fairly extensively, but never spent a cent on them.

You have a different definition of pay to win than the other poster and I do, and while I don't agree with it, that's fine. My primary purpose for responding to your comment was to try to explain what they were referring to. I'm not trying to start a big argument over a game that I don't even play, so I won't be going any further with this.

We've got two big sales going on, and I'm currently deciding what I would like to pick up. I'm planning to get Expeditions: Rome since it's 60% off, and I'm trying to decide if I want to finally get Terra Invicta.

What patient games are the people here planning to pick up? Maybe I'll find a few that I "need" to try!

Kind of disappointed about this, I was hoping it would provide a little bit of competition to EA. At least Paralives is still supposed to released, and my copy of The Sims 3 still works as well!

F/5.6 75.0mm 1/320s ISO-200

Here's a photo I took recently, and I'm just curious if anyone has any feedback on what they like about it or what they think would improve it. No editing other than some compression to lower the file size below my instance limit.

If I were to go back to it again I would probably try to use the stem of the flower to split the background between the bush and sky. Other than that I'm not sure, I'm still trying to learn!

I've started rediscovering photography again after a multi year break, and I've currently got a decision to make. I've started doing some more macro photography recently, and I'm to the point I would like to purchase a macro lens. However, I now realize that new DSLR cameras seem to be on their way out and mirrorless is what the major manufacturers are moving to. My current gear is a budget Canon DSLR with a kit lens, and a basic 75-300mm.

My question is this. Should I switch to a mirrorless camera before I spend more money on lenses? I don't have a huge amount of money invested so far, and whatever lens type I buy is most likely what I'm going to have to stay with for many years to come. My hard limit would be $1000 for the body, but preferably $700 or less. Since I would like to stay with Canon, that leaves me with the R100, R50, and RP at the very top end. I am open to other options however, especially if there are good aftermarket lenses and accessories.

Although I know there will still be new and used EF lenses available, I do worry a bit about future camera body upgrade options. I know I'm overthinking this a bit too much, but I'm just curious what other people think.

It looked like the fans on SS2 were excited to be there! Even watching it at home was great. I'd like to see more rallies with night stages in the future, it certainly adds some uniqueness.
