Seconded! This would be very helpful!

As a child in Houston I grew up hearing about a bullet train in Texas. Also dragons. I'm more likely to ride the dragon than the train.

But optimistically, I would say that we've now neglected our roads so badly that soon the train is going to be cheaper than repairing our roads and bridges would be.

Sometimes it's nice to get a reminder that the internet is still the internet.

Android 13 here. The only bug I habitually notice is that when I load a comment thread, previously loaded comments from an old thread will briefly be displayed. That and when I subscribe to a new community, the button will keep saying Pending until I refresh.

Over all, it's a feature-light app but for the price it's as good as I would ask for. Hopefully some folks will join the dev team as the community grows.

There's cat pictures. Also some open discourse. Mostly cat pictures.

Flow Free has been my go to time killer for years and years now. The mechanic is super simple and it's not a noisy or obnoxious game.

I saw a stranger riding a bicycle along the gravel trail surrounding the reflecting pool of the Lincoln Memorial in DC. He was kitted out like a tour de Francer and was riding way too fast for being in a crowded area. So inevitably some tourist steps into his path. Instead of hitting her he threw the bike to the ground and launched himself over the handlebars, landing with a perfect shoulder roll. He dusted himself off, asked if the tourist was alright, and zoomed off into the twilight with his bicycle.

So he perfectly diffused a dangerous situation that was entirely of his own creation. I've never known exactly how to feel about that random dude that was simultaneously super talented and super irresponsible. I'll never forget that random ass dude and his midlife crisis sprint bike.

This article is making an alarmist case against AI by comparing it to technologies that also didn't fundamentally change human life. "In the same way you might use Google Maps to get everywhere and not know how to get there otherwise...", but GPS nav didn't ruin our ability to drive. It just makes driving more convenient.

If anything, the presence of AI generated fakes will make face-to-face interactions more valuable. Our most trusted source of news will be the people we trust and interact with directly. That's not a new and horrifying condition for humanity. It's how we always live.

Also, that's a huge party! How do you manage 7?

The "know your hit roll" rule is brilliant and clearly comes from years of experience. Enforce it once or twice and the party will peer pressure each other into knowing their sheets.

I think milestones rather than XP should be the standard for everyone. It's so much better for level ups to be narratively meaningful.

Can I ask, what the use of having players "bleed out" rather than just making death saves?
