I mean, in a large company, that is often how things are done.
Departments have their own budgets and pay each other to work on various projects.

That's not up to you, or any of us.
Not maintaining non-js version makes sense for the business, considering how few people are affected.

All we can do is move away to something better.

It's far more than that. Even on a basic search page. Ever expanded the 'Peaplo also ask' section, for example? It loads more results based on your scroll position or interaction.
There's loads of little things like this, you may just not notice or care about it - which is another discussion.

I've used windows since dos and have never once used wordpad in my entire life.
For basic text, notepad is just fine. For anything fancy, wordpad isn't good enough.
I feel that it doesn't have a place anywhere. It's like the bizarre paint 3D they've recently discontinued.

Why is that, though? Why not line break where I've entered a line break?

Straight razors- bought a pack of blades years ago for change and have yet to run out
Aeropress or V60- especially with beans, after an initial investment of ~£100, you can buy the cheapest beans in bulk (freeze to last) and still make better coffee than any shop
Not using consoles
Oh god, what's the issue with toothbrushes?
Switched to Kobo Forma when kindle got ads, love it

Why did they not print the whole of 'Affecting' on a new line, that's bothering me

It's true, I'm conscious of avoiding silence.
Music works when I'm working on a task that requires focus, but I need something more engaging when cooking, for example, like spoken word - podcasts, audiobooks, movies, YouTube.

Thanks for the links, will have a look

I have a tracking setup for spotify. I listen to music during work most of the day, typically between 11-17 with peaks at 1pm. Average at 40-60k minutes a year. Longest session being around 11 hours.

It helps me focus. But I'd be interested in seeing that study.
