Putin's birthday. Attacking like they did when they did was likely part of Iran's agreed upon support for Russia in Ukraine. The point being split US weapons shipments and focus away from Ukraine before Russia's next major offensive.

Because it's not really true. Those Chinese EVs cost what they do through slave labor and $213 billion in subsidization.

The same people complaining that other carmakers can't match China's pricing would be just as mad if say GM did what BYD is doing to have that pricing. First step is kiss the UAW goodbye. Second step is have Congress give GM $30 billion to make EVs. We'd all be rightfully pissed off at that.

Nope. It's been around a long long time. Gets updated to match current geopolitical risks.

If you did a TV series it could be like True Detective. Each season being a different timeframe. The Taken being the few reoccurring characters. But even then a character like Shifter could be portrayed by multiple actors.

Lot of good ones in here. Only idea I can think of is The Black Company. Not specifically to follow Croakers story either. Could be about battles and drama of the past from the annals.

That's funny because I saw some initial comments made which then started this discussion. And what you're suggesting was the intent. The issue as they (one of Lemmy's developers) said was essentially frustration that their echo chamber had been pierced.

The dot above 2014 isn't labeled. I'd guess it's about 31.7%. The dot above 2015 is 36.8%. That's far and away the largest year-over-year change and the jump I'm referring to.

2016 is the peak. But it's only barely slightly higher than 2015.

Where I live the roads get salted all winter. It's not uncommon unfortunately for significant portions of cars to be rusted out by that point.

Don't think so. By 14 we were pretty well out of the 08 mess. Was around when I got my first major career break. Which was nice as one of the millennials that finished college while the economy had gone to shit.
