This just happened to me. Even tried to use Albert Einstein as a “see, Socialism can work” even though the topic was about tankies specifically. It felt like gaslighting so I stopped engaging.

Totally understandable. That’s the issue with echo chambers like lemmy.ml

They try to have normal communities to lure people in then bam, tankies everywhere and if you disagree you’re a racist bigot when all you were there for initially was innocent, apolitical memes.

I think they do it that way to indoctrinate people into their cult.

Getting downvoted by authoritarian simps is always a win.

He’s absolutely no Carl Sagan. Now, those are some big shoes to fill for anyone but Neil didn’t even come close. I really like his voice but there’s always an air of condescension about his demeanor. It was admittedly less present in Cosmos, thankfully.

His Hollyweird presence is what really irks me, appearing in shows like Big Bang Theory. He somehow manages to be bad at acting like himself. It would be almost impressive if he didn’t come off as so damn conceited.

Anyone who believes this is just as deranged as the Q people lmao. What an outright fabrication of anything resembling the truth. Nobody on either side of the spectrum, be it left or right, are voting to murder anyone. Maybe take a peak outside your Reddited echo chamber because the real world has much more nuance than it’s allowing you to see.
