I think we can expect people to wear masks and bosses to respect sick leave requests

Edit: Looks like this is Australia. How has mask wearing and sick leave been on your side of the world?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Masks are voluntary and rarely seen Down Under, contributing to the ongoing local Aussie Covid death toll, with 'freedom' being paid for via the lives of the vulnerable, who are given little to no consideration by the majority!

Hey sounds like the US! Have you considered shooting the germs? My understanding is COVID does not survive gun wounds

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

The only way to survive a bad guy with germs is a good guy with a gun.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So I take it you're not from the US then? 😅

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I am, probably should have added a /s

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sorry to hear you have your fair share of MAGA snowflakes to deal with as well, then. It's amazing how these idiots can spend so much time making up wild theories to avoid wearing what amounts to a piece of clothing, and yet they would throw a fit if someone told them they couldn't wear a coat in the Winter.

[–] mayoi -4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Unlike COVID, cold in winter can actually kill me, so it would be a big problem if I couldn't wear a coat.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Again, you're just cherry-picking what you want to believe rather than actually pay attention to the facts. And as quickly as you responded, you obviously didn't even read what I just wrote. Carry on, snowflake.

snowflake

projection, covid cannot kill me because I had it twice, both times it was weak shit that I couldn't even call fever that lasted for less than a week total, and I'm still alive to tell you about it. I didn't wear the mask, I didn't get vaccinated, I talked to people, I kissed people, I fucked people, I hugged people and I killed absolutely noone and I had none of these "long covid" symptoms either. My immune system just works. Don't try to scare me unless an illness is actually a threat to my immune system, jackass.

I did read your gaslighting drivel by the way, doesn't mean I'm supposed to be gaslighted.

Troll doesn't know what anecdotal evidence means. Classic

"I had it so it must be harmless!" this guy is great

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Ah cool, so then you're already aware that cognitive impairment is one of the symptoms of long covid. Although I suspect you had that affliction before you ever got sick. It's nice that you so freely admit how little you care for the health of your friends and family though, really shows what kind of a person you are. Peace out.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This guy is a troll picking random fights. If you have some time, go look at his comment history. It's only been a day, and his greatest hits include holocaust denial, being racist towards jews, "no true scottsman"ing catholics, and outright claiming fossil fuels are recyclable.

He started his whole tirade on a post about tolerance declaring his right to be an asshole to anyone who thinks they're tolerant.

I just thought you should know.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh I don't really care what these idiots actually think, whether they're being honest or not they are still too stupid to change their mind. But calling them out for their BS is a fun way to wake up in the morning and leave a permanent record for when they discover they're not as anonymous as they want to think. No worries though, I just stopped answering because I had finished my breakfast and had more interesting things to do. 😆

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You are a paragon of human patience. I love the way you handle it. And here I've just been following this guy around rating all of his belligerent comments on how effective of a troll he's being.

Guess I'm just bored. Anyway, cheers mate

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Haha I guess this is just my form of trolling. I get so sick of these idiots who honestly think covid is a myth, sometimes I just want to see how deep their self-denial really goes.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

If it makes you feel any better, he recently made a single sentence comment, "Fossil fuel is recyclable" like it was a mic drop. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed

[–] mayoi -3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Surely, a stranger insulting me will make me convinced that I should do everything in my power to save as many stranger lives as possible when I'm happy every time another one dies, because statistically speaking, they're a piece of shit that needs to die.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Surely, a stranger insulting me will make me convinced

Funny, you don't let strangers insult you into changing your mind, but insulting strangers into changing theirs is your entire modus operandi. It's almost as if you aren't even here to have a logical conversation 🤔

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

This wave knocked me on my ass and it's been the only wave to have done this despite being 5 times vaxxed including the bivalent for 2 months before getting sick.

Maybe it's just bad luck but the people around me seem to be getting sicker and sicker from this wave.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I got hit again by covid and a lot of people around me have it. Sucks

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Good thing the CDC has stopped tracking numbers in the US since “the pandemic is over.” Great work Joe

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago

As Trump famously put it, if you don't measure then you don't have a problem.
