I couldn't understand the people who commented stuff like "Just use the official app, what's the problem?" Completely missing the point that reddit's ceo and admins acted like total a-holes towards their users for no reason. I was using the official app, but I still support people having a choice, I don't use it anymore.

I saw a fair number of user saying this and those asking what was so good about 3rd party apps.

Freedom of choice was my main driver for using a 3rd party app and Apollo delivered so much more

You know what's funny? I used the official app (albeit the revanced version) for moderation. But the way they shat on users disgusted me enough that even if I had been happy with the trash app, I'd still have left.

"Official app" was created just recently( in 2015). Long before that there was a reddit website and there were multiple apps for it.
