I can't seem to upload an image of my current mount, but it mounts flat on the top of my dashboard on a little plastic sheet that's permanently affixed to the dashboard.

The mount has a suction cup made of that sticky rubbery stuff. Any new mount needs to mount the same way. I'm hoping some of you have similar mounts and have some experience with what holds such a large phone well. (I have a slim case).

I have this mount from Scosche and it's been fine with my P7 in a Spigen thin case: https://www.scosche.com/collections/new-apple-ipad-iphone-accessories/magicgrip-mount-double-pivot I have it mounted in a lower cubby in front of my shifter with the suction/sticky attached to the top inside of said cubby, and it has never fallen off or sagged.

Thanks! I like the way that one looks. I just ordered it. It was listed at $40 and I got 10% off for signing up for their mailing list, so $36 and free shipping.

Update: I'm liking it pretty well. I wish it held the phone a little more firmly, though. The ball and socket joints are rubbery and the phone jiggles a bit. It's also kind of tricky to get it to sit at the precise angle I want, but it's alright.

Honestly, I love the pro-clip USA mounts.

They are a bit pricey, but they clip to the dash rather than stick to it and can be removed easily while being very sturdy.

My vehicle is too old and unusual for them. They have a mount, but it's "special order only" and looks terrible. I need a plain old on-top-of-the-dash mount.
