Over here a lot of stuff relies on personal connections. Also, anglos are weirdly hung up (ideology powered by material reasons) about people translating into english as non-native speakers iirc? I was going to say Sea of Stars is pretty good, but I just got to a pirate that's super self-aware that it's a video game and referencing tropes (and calling them that), which is just pissing me off. The game is not well-written enough to get away with this and the rest of it didn't really set this up at all. This goober aside, the game's a little too twee for my tastes, but if you like to maximize your comfycore, it might be nice.

The sound and art is really well done though. Gamefeel is nice, it's responsive, movement is quick, and the battles are definitely working and have some sauce. If you like Chrono-Trigger's trappings, this might scratch an itch.

Writing's pretty uninteresting though.

Yup Witcher 3 DX12's performance in Novigrad is straight anus. Dropping from ~130 to ~70fps in a crowded Hierarch Square. That's with frame gen, so latency feels more like sub-60. At least you don't really do any fighting there so little gameplay impact.

Also it's wild to me how much smaller this game is compared to something like AC: Odyssey. I remember being blown away back in 2015 ("White Orchard is just the tutorial zone?!") but now it's refreshingly compact compared to newer releases

Gamers, what are your thoughts on Starfield? Most reviewers are saying that the game is a mile wide, but an inch deep. I think that Bethesda designed it like that on purpose.

They understand that the modders are the reason why people are still playing Skyrim over ten years after its release. So they opted to go for quantity instead of quality. Becauuse the modders can easily add content to the game but it's harder for them to add new systems. So Bethesda made a bunch of different systems, knowing that modders will fill them with content. Tbh I think they made the right decision.

The best way to play any Bethesda game is to buy it 2 years after release on a 50% sale and install 160 mods. I'm gonna play it like that and it's probably gonna be a blast.
