[–] [email protected] 22 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Got a source for that ridiculous claim?

[–] Klear 15 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Vegetables are “parts of plants that are consumed by humans or other animals as food.”

Sweet potatoes are both tubers and vegetables.

By this definition, grass and tree bark are vegetables

Carrots are also roots.

Article: eat veggies and get exercise.

I hate when people say that something is healthy because it has "nutrients". I mean, yeah, it's probably true but everything has nutrients. And of course there are supplements and stuff which are literally pure nutrients.

"Eat rocks. They're a great source of minerals"

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago

Jesus Christ Marie, they ARE minerals.

on the other side of the spectrum there's "healthy is when salad" which also drives me up the wall

the worst part is that healthy food can mostly be described by "avoid sugar and pre-processed stuff as much as possible, eat as much whole-grain and vegetables as possible", but i guess that's one comma too much for readers to engage with..

It's what plants crave.
