I like the admins here, so if you're running a mastodon instance, I think I'd choose that one. Yes/no/planned/maybe/aliens?

mstdn.ca has a partnership with CIRA https://www.cira.ca/en/resources/news/about/cira-teams-mastodon-canada-support-canadian-digital-communities/

Would there be any benefit from seeking a similar partnership with the CIRA? The organization's interests seem aligned with what this instance is trying to do (Canadian run, open internet that's free from corporate interests etc.)

Is there a way to follow Mastodon posts with my current Lemmy app (connect).

I see the odd comment here that is from Mastodon so I know there is some cross posting that happens but I'd like to follow people on Mastodon and have all on the same feed on connect if that makes sense. Is it possible?

@main @Lem453 @troyunrau lemmy doesn't support following individual users, however there are many other platforms that do. I'd recommend you try out Kbin

I don't think Lemmy has implemented Federation with Mastadon yet. However, Mastadon has implemented Federation with Lemmy. So, it's a one way street so far.
