I had heard of AI girlfriends so I guess AI boyfriends makes sense too. Question: what happens if you fix up two AI's with each other?

Unless you jailbreak your AI, they're generally designed to deescalate any potentially romantic situations, so I'd imagine it'd result in a very platonic friends situation where both parties chatter on about nothing.
Eventually it would devolve into gibberish as language models today can not create new content from scratch
Did you watch The Matrix?
I want this now
Men have had AI girlfriends for a long time now for very similar reasons to women (dissatisfaction with the opposite sex, lack of understanding from the opposite sex, lack of opportunity, loneliness, time, ...).
AI partners are filling a very real need and it won't be long before physical AI partners come along. I bet that once women start having relationships with sex toys / sex puppets, the entire discussion about how ethical it is (like when France introduced an AI brothel and the ensuing uproar) will disappear.
To go black mirror: imagine AI sex puppets with artificial wombs and donated eggs, or AI sex puppets with donated sperm. People could have real relationships that result in children. Even more black mirror were using genetic material grown from oneself (using pluripotent cells) and modifying the genes to make them different.
We wouldn't be doomed as a species if that were to happen, because if we didn't allow procreation with AI birth rates would drop even faster.
Wait, how would a sperm be AI generated? Are we talking about generating artificial genomes? That's sounds like designer babies.
Maybe we could hold off on AI generated life forms for the time being.
Why Chinese Women? Isn't there a massive gender offset that favors men? You'd think there would be lots of choices.
One thing I've been reading about in Asian countries primarily is that women in the work force are disproportionately screwed when it comes to their careers and starting a family. The government and patriarchal society expects them to leave their career to start a family and they get left behind once they're ready to go back. It's also harder now a days to raise kids even with 2 incomes, lots of women just don't want to bother and I understand why. But the pressure is still very much there by society and men who do want a family, especially in those cultures. So now they're fed up with dating and choose Ai boyfriends or no boyfriends instead.
I sorta get it, I did the online dating thing and it was sorta difficult to find other people who 100 percent didn't want kids like I did. Ended up working out for me but I know I'm an outlier.
Well that explains the drop in population
