I would rather be a gazelle getting torn apart by a pack of painted wolves just trying to survive, than be a pig that spends their whole life in horrific conditions only to be slowly gassed to death because people like bacon.
Wild animal suffering is a problem worth solving too (even if we can't do it yet with our current knowledge). But how are we gonna get there while we as a species are fine with doing the torturing ourselves??

Kinda sounds like a bad joke… but in Germany they do.
They are being lowered into a pit in masses and then stunned using CO2. In theory (and propagated as such) a rather “good way to go”, but they tend to suffer a fucking awfully long time, because well… they’re being suffocated alive with a lot of them in a small pit. So yea…
we feed them bird shit. nonhuman animals are not capable of this level of psychopathy, not even with uplifting.
