Many people say they really enjoy the great conversations and better content they have on Lemmy compared to reddit.
But I hardly see any of the philosophical or academic discussions I saw on reddit, I just see tech discussions and shitpost memes. Still happy to be here though.

Memes are memes and are intended to stay that way. No videos, no screenshots, no comic strips. Shitposts is more open. Both have their interest
