No idea. Maybe you're forced to either buy or sell?

In any case, I'm not sure this bodes well for Virgin Galactic. I hope they can survive long enough to make it through the development of the Delta-class vehicle.

Fractional shares are usually cashed out, though some brokerages will allow you to own a fraction of a share.

I imagine buying less shares than whatever they're merging them at would be a good way to be annoying.
